Meinl Percussion Headliner Series 13" & 14" Timbales - Chrome (HT1314CH) — Classic Latin Projection
An authentic, cutting voice at an accessible price point. The Meinl Headliner Series HT1314CH is a complete, professional-style 13" and 14" timbale set designed to deliver the signature dry, metallic "cascade" of sound. These piercing rimshots and warm, ringing cascara (shell-striking) tones are crucial not only to salsa and Afro-Cuban jazz, but were also instrumental in shaping the crisp fills and iconic "one-drop" accents of classic Jamaican reggae. Constructed from durable chrome-plated steel, this set includes a heavy-duty, height-adjustable tripod stand and an adjustable cowbell holder - making it the perfect, all-in-one upgrade for students and drum kit players looking to bring authentic Caribbean flavor to their rig.
Key Features
- Bright Chrome-Plated Steel Shells: Delivers an incredibly crisp, bright, and cutting acoustic projection with high-frequency ring to ensure your rhythms punch through a full horn and percussion section.
- Classic Timbale Cascara Sound: The smooth, premium chrome plating provides a clear, highly musical "woodblock-like" tone when striking the side of the drum shells (cascara technique).
- Two Worked-In Flanges: Features a structurally sound shell design with two integrated reinforcement folds to handle tight head tensioning and keep the drums perfectly round.
- Complete Hardware Package: Comes out of the box with a height-adjustable, tilting, double-braced tripod stand, a sturdy cowbell mounting post, and a specialized tuning key.
