Wuhan 18-inch Western Series Linear Smash Crash Cymbal — B20 Bronze, Precision Cutouts & Fast Effect Trash
Engineered for drummers seeking an explosive, short-sustain FX crash with immediate bite, the Wuhan 18-inch Western Series Linear Smash Crash Cymbal (WULSMASH18) delivers an aggressive, trashy acoustic signature. Handcrafted from premium B20 bronze alloy, this 18-inch effect cymbal integrates strategically arranged linear slots and circular sound holes across its bow to dramatically alter air resistance and resonance.
By removing mass from the playing surface through precision cutouts, the Linear Smash Crash opens up instantly upon impact with a dirty, distorted attack that decays rapidly. It functions exceptionally well as a standalone accent crash for tight, punchy fills, dynamic breakdowns, and rock/metal accents, or layered within custom stack setups where high impact and controlled sustain are required.
Key Features
- Precision Cutout Sound Holes: Features a combination of linear slot cutouts and circular sound ports that lighten bow mass for ultra-fast response and rapid sustain decay.
- Hand-Cast B20 Bronze Alloy: Formulated with 80% copper and 20% tin for deep harmonic complexity, musical warmth, and long-term structural durability.
- Explosive White-Noise Attack: Merges the punch and response of a thin crash with the dark, trashy bite of a china cymbal for cutting FX accents.
- Ideal for Stacking & Standalone Use: Slices through loud stage mixes for accent fills, worship dynamics, rock breakdowns, or building custom cymbal stack combinations.
- Traditional Hand-Hammered Finish: Classic lathing and artisan hand-hammering maintain rich acoustic resonance beneath its modern cutout design.
