Yamaha YFL-222 Standard Student Flute — Durable Pointed Key Arms, CY Headjoint & Offset G
The Yamaha YFL-222 is the premier standard-level C flute designed specifically for US and international music education programs. Replacing the popular YFL-221 model, the YFL-222 introduces elegant pointed key arms and refined keywork ergonomics while retaining the legendary durability, warm tone, and reliable intonation that music directors and band instructors recommend worldwide.
Featuring closed-hole (Plateau) keys and an Offset G key configuration, the YFL-222 offers an intuitive, comfortable hand position for young flautists and beginners. Built with Yamaha's signature CY headjoint profile, the instrument provides immediate response and excellent control across all registers, making it easier for students to develop proper embouchure and centered tone.
(Note: The YFL-222 is the standard model with Offset G and no Split E mechanism, whereas the YFL-212 includes the Split E mechanism for European markets).
